My approach

A Relational, Embodied Approach for Teens

Through a relational and embodied approach, I support teens to reconnect with their emotions, thoughts, bodies and nervous systems, helping them develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation and resilience.

Sessions may include exploring body awareness, emotions, stress responses, relationships and patterns of coping, while gently supporting teens to better understand themselves and their experiences.

Helping young people feel

  • More connected
  • More confident
  • Emotionally supported
  • Clearer in themselves
  • Greater self-trust
Together we work toward helping young people feel more connected, confident, emotionally supported and able to navigate life with greater clarity and self-trust.

My role

Another Support in Your Teen’s Life

I see my role as one more support in a young person’s life, alongside family, friends and school. Counselling isn’t about replacing those relationships. It’s about widening the circle of support, so there are more opportunities for open, honest dialogue about what’s really going on.

Sometimes it’s easier for a teen to talk things through with someone outside the family. Having that space can help them make sense of their experience and find their own words for it.

Your teen chooses who’s in the room

I usually work with teens one-on-one. Each young person decides whether they’d like a parent involved, so they have a real sense of choice and ownership over their counselling.

Who I work with

Support for Teens Facing Pressure at School, With Friends or at Home

I often work with teens who are finding it hard to manage:

Peer pressure

Navigating friendships, fitting in, and the pressure to be a certain way.

Study pressure

The stress and expectations that can come with school, study and exams.

Conflict at home

Tension or difficult dynamics inside the family home, and how to make sense of them.
